Frequently Asked Question

Why can't I see my DCP kit on Mac or Windows?
Last Updated 6 years ago

All DCP Kits are formatted using the EXT3 Filesystem for Linux. Windows and MacOS are unable to read EXT3 drives without third party software and drivers.

EXT3 is the official filesystem for distribution of DCP. If you want to distribute or ingest DCP, you should use a Linux-based operating system to handle the file transfers.

For Mac and Windows, there are a few unsupported options for handling DCP on EXT3 formatted drives. Please note that these software solutions are unsupported by CRU.
